God is Hope

Learn from the trees.

In fall, the tree lets go,

leaves turn orange and crimson

then are released.

In winter, the tree sits still and empty.

At just the right time,

spring comes and new, green leaves grow.

Then summer and generous fruit.

Where are you in the seasons of life?

Letting go?

Still and empty?

Growing?

Giving fruit?

God knows. He has a plan for you.

Learn from the trees.

He is Hope.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope

fill you with all joy and peace

as you trust in him,

so that you may overflow with hope

by the power of the Holy Spirit.

***

Emily Dickinson

“Hope” is the thing with feathers—

That perches in the soul—

And sings the tune without the words—

And never stops—at all—
